Frequently asked questions.
What does 'per recorded hour' mean?
When we transfer a VHS or camcorder tape, we charge 'per recorded hour'. This is because your VHS tape could hold anything from 5 minutes to 6+ hours on it. And don’t worry if there is a few recorded tv shows in there, we only charge for the memories you keep.
How long will my order take to complete?
Our standard turnaround time for CD and DVD duplication is 3-5 business days, while digital transfers are more labour intensive and take 1-2 weeks. If you contact us, we can give you a more accurate idea of how long until we can get your order done. We also have rush order options available.
What is your minimum duplication order requirement?
There is no minimum order at CXT, even if you only need a few copies of your disc, we are here to help.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes we do. Bulk discounts apply when you start getting into the hundreds or thousands of discs. If this applies to you, contact us for a customized quote.
How do we get our music/video/data to CXT?
You can drop off your data with either Andrew in south Calgary, or Mark & Laurel in Camrose. Lead times will be longer if we need to bring your data to the other branch of CXT for processing. Pick up and delivery may also be available for an additional charge; contact us for more details. You can also get your data to CXT by shipping us your originals. Don’t worry, we will give them back.
What formats do you convert videos to?
We can convert into any format that suits your needs best, from a DVD to a file on a USB thumb drive, or even sharing it with you on Dropbox or a private YouTube stream to enjoy.
Do you guarantee your product?
Yes, all of CXT’s products are 100% guaranteed. If a disc doesn’t work, just give us a call and we will replace it at no charge.
